How To Boost Productivity
Productivity describes various measures of the efficiency of production.
It’s hard to be productive if there are a lot of factors that would hinder it. Are the people in your workplace productive enough to carry out your goals?
Teach Time Management
Time management is a vital skill that you need to teach your employees. For instance, let’s say that you work with managers who have to wait a while for their reports to compile.
Teach your employees how to be productive with their given time, including downtime.
Know your employees well
A distant management style doesn’t endear the boss to anyone. You need to get out of your office to know your employees on a personal level: what they like and don’t like, what issues they have, and what they’re amazing at.
It’s better if you get to schedule a lunch with them twice a month or celebrate with them every time a goal is achieved.
Be the role model
If you want to teach your employees how to be productive at work, you need to be the role model. If you’re taking time away from work to talk with colleagues or read news articles, your employees will think they can too.
Be a good example to them. What they’ll do will reflect on you as well as the company.
