How To Avoid Burnout At Work

Work and life balance is the greatest benefit a company can give you. It is also one of the things that one looks forward when searching for a company to stay for a long-term.

If stress and burnout is already present in the workplace, it is left to us how are we going to have it all balanced and to stay active on top of our workload.

How do we avoid burnout?

  • Sleep properly

You should sleep 7-8 hours a day to be able to bring your A-game at work. Admittedly, most of the people nowadays spend much time on social media, sacrificing sleep.

Time on social media is 2x faster than real-time so before you know it, you only have a few hours to sleep.

  • Exercise

You can start little by little. You may want to jog for 10 mins outside or do Yoga for 30 minutes. Whichever fits your time as long as you spend it actively on a healthy way, it’s still beneficial than doing nothing.

Staying at home is not a hindrance as you can always buy home workout equipment. No excuses.

  • Appreciate Nature

Consider going out for a walk or a breath of fresh air. Driving around would also be good to unwind, of course avoid the heavy city traffic.

It does not necessarily mean going out to the pond and feed the fishes or walk barefoot on the grass (though it’s great) but going outside the office will actually help.

It’s in your hands on how are you going to balance work and life. It’s rare to find a good-paying job with less workload.
